I admire Dream Catcher’s dedication to the protection of horses, both wild and domestic, and their dedication to the environment through the use of wind turbines and solar panels. With two facilities, one is devoted to hay production and homes retired domestic horses. The second sanctuary is home to intact family bands of wild horses and burros that are allowed to live their lives as naturally as possible.

The Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit is the only mounted unit left in Boston. Under constant threat of disbandment due to budget constraints, The Friends of the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit was established in order to raise the funds necessary to keep the unit in tact. Having volunteered for the BPR Mounted Unit for many years, I am grateful for the knowledge and the friendships they shared with me and feel they have an invaluable positive affect on Boston city life.
